Goods Manufacturing Practise
(GMP)

The Cosmetics Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 requires that all cosmetic products placed on the European market comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) set by the ISO 22716 standard.

GMP Statement

All products are produced to the following standard and regulations:

 

  • Work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.

  • Utensils used for product preparation (including, but not limited to bowls, spoons, spatulas, thermometers, jars, containers, bottles etc) are never used for food preparation and are stored seperate from food preparation utensils at all times. 

  • Utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sterilized before and after each use.

  • Smoking, eating and drinking is strictly prohibited in cosmetic preparation areas.

  • Product containers are thoroughly sterilized and left to air dry before use.

  • Equipment will be checked for defects prior to each use.

  • Personal hygiene, in particular hand washing to be maintained at all times. Hair to be tied back and a face mask to be worn at all times during preparation.

  • All ingredients to be measured and weighed accurately using approved measuring apparatus. 

  • All ingredients and products to be stored according to their needs.

  • All containers will be accurately labelled.

  • All waste will be correctly removed from the work area immediately, designated to the appropriate recycling area ready for collection. 

  • Only trained personnel are to enter the workshop.
